June to-do-List

June is a great time to tackle projects because you can enjoy the fruitage of your labor all summer! Here is a short to-do-list:

Survey- In the evening take a stroll around your property. Plants that are sun scorched and not reviving during the coolest part of the day may have to be replaced. Call your nearest Moon Valley Nursery and they will be able to recommend a variety of plant selections for you. 602-938-6666

Check Drip System- Water is essential for the life of your plants, especially during the summer. Survey that your drip system emitters have not developed build-up, look for either chemical or physical build-up. Build-up will restrict water flow. Plant Native Desert Trees-June is the prime planting season for Native Desert Trees. Native Desert Trees are drought resistant and require little water and maintenance. Add Color to Your Patio- The beginning of summer ushers in the season to entertain friends on the patio. June is an excellent time to add colorful perennials, summer flowers, and charming vines to your patio. These plants can be planted in planters or pots. Document- Photograph your plants and trees. Journal notes regarding your landscape during the summer.
