What Does "Going Green" Mean?

“Going green”, seems to be the catch phrase of the 21st Century. However, what does “going green” mean? And how can you play a contributing part in one of the most significant movements of our time?
Going green is associated with environmentalism, green being the color that often represents or is the natural trademark of anything to do with the environment. Although environmentalism is a broad philosophy, in short it is the care for the planet as a whole.
Taking care of our planet is up to you and me
With global climate change concerns becoming a significant social issue, people are more aware of how their daily choices affect the environment. These daily choices need not be radical or difficult.  Choosing to be a steward of planet earth is something that you are probably already putting into practice.

Reduce Pollution: If you want to reduce air pollution plant a tree from Moon Valley Nursery.
Trees are vital for the sustainability of our planet. Trees are responsible for:
• Absorbing CO2 and other dangerous gasses and, in turn, replenish the atmosphere with oxygen.
• Producing enough oxygen on each acre for 18 people every day.
• Absorbing enough CO2 on each acre, so that over a year's time this would equal the amount you would produce when you drive your car 26,000 miles.

Trees remove gaseous pollutants by absorbing them through the pores in the leaf surface. Particulates are trapped and filtered by leaves, stems and twigs, and washed to the ground by rainfall.
The reduction of CO2 by planting a tree on your property is significant. Moon Valley Nursery will be able to provide you with a huge selection of trees, so that you can “go green”, and beautify planet earth in the process.
