Fall is the Time to Color Coordinate Your Yard
Last week began the long anticipated Fashion Season of 2011. Fashionistas around the world want to know what the ‘new black’ is this year. In short, this year the new black is anything you want it to be.
“Narciso Rodriguez showed nearly all white, blush and black with dashes of poppy orange; BCBG Max Azria showed white and gray but mixed in coral, peony and crimson; and Tibi brightened up a largely ivory, cream and tobacco collection with jackets and coats in vivid fire orange and purple”. The combinations were endless.
Once again, much of this year’s inspirations came from nature. “Nature is the greatest of muses”. How can you get your yard color coordinated and fashion ready this fall? Follow the few following basics.
Quality:
Your starting point has to be quality. Can you imagine Valentino sewing Swarovski’s on a gunny sack? The same holds true when selecting trees and plants for your yard. Moon Valley Nursery is a grower direct nursery. Our trees and plants are natively grown for the southwest so they are the best quality that you will find. Classic style and quality is never a passing trend and Moon Valley Nursery delivers both.

The ambrosial colors that strutted on the catwalk this 2011 season were breathtaking. However, you don’t have to travel to New York, Paris or Milan to duplicate this year’s array of colors. They all can be found at any Moon Valley Nursery. Fall planting in the southwest means color, color color! And Moon Valley has color! Some colorful trees that you can plant this fall are:

Purple Leaf Plum |
Crape Myrtle |
Accessorize:
Evening gowns, everyday wear, or boho chic is not complete without the right accessories. Like accessories, shrubs and vines can give your yard a splash of color while complementing the focal point in your yard. A few of this season’s must have shrubs and vines are:
Autumn Sage |
Cape Honeysuckle |
Blue Hibiscus |
