Officer Travis Murphy was killed in the line of duty on May 26, 2010. He leaves behind a wife and two small children ages 2 years and 2 months. Officer Murphy also leaves behind a whole department of officers who “respected and will greatly miss him”. According to Chief Jack Harris "He absolutely loved his job and loved our department," The loss is felt throughout the community.
Moon Valley Nursery is holding a fundraiser to help the family of Officer Travis Murphy. The prize will be donated by Moon Valley Nursery and 100% proceeds will be given to help Officer Murphy’s family.
